Is a Wedge Required for the Curt A20 and Rota-Flex to Work Together?

Question:

I have a curt A20 fifth wheel.....but the Rota=flex by trailair does not have the holes for a wedge..... do i have to use a wedge?

Hey Michael, thanks for reaching out!

The 5th wheel wedges like the Curt # C16992 you're looking at, are only required when the pin box has a rotating turret that's used when towing with a short bed truck. Since the Rota-Flex doesn't have a rotating turret, a wedge isn't required for your A20 5th wheel hitch.

A great example of the rotating turret style is the Reese Sidewinder, which you can see in action in the attached photo.

Are you needing to swap out your pin box, or is the Rota-Flex compatible with your current setup?
