Question:

Im torn between the Curt A25 and the BandW Companion Q25 hitches for my 2018 Ram 3500 dually 4x4 with the factory installed Tow Package/ Goose neck and Puck system. Im purchasing a fifth wheel RV that has a Max Gross Weight of 21,000#. Im sure either would suffice, but just wanted another opinion on the matter. I see there are more Reviews= for the Companion than for the Curt. So, Im not sure if that means there are that many more folks with the Companion or that many more posting reviews. Thanks,

The Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16046 is a great 5th wheel hitch but I believe it pales in comparison to the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3600. There are a few reason I feel this way.

The first is that the A25 actually only has a 24,000 lb weight capacity whereas the Companion has a 25,000 lb weight capacity. This may not be as big of a selling point to some but if you will be nearing the weight capacity of the hitch then it will be best to have the added 1,000 lb safety margin. The next reason I like the Companion more than the A25 is because of the pivot arms. The pivot arms are going to allow you to adjust where the kingpin sits in relation to the rear axle which is going to increase your towing experience which usually equates to a smoother ride.

Last but not least, the Companion is made entirely in the USA whereas the A25 is made overseas. I have attached review videos of each hitch for further comparison.
