Will Caliber Marine Slides for Boat Trailer Scratch Paint
Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/22/2025 >
Question:
I have a Lund aluminum fishing boat with a painted hull, and I’m worried about scratches. Are these Caliber bunk wraps safe for painted surfaces, or do I risk wearing through the finish over time?

Hey Stephan, the Caliber Marine Slides for Boat Trailer Bunks # CA76AJ that you referenced are safe to use with a painted hull. The design of them allows water and any potential dirt/debris to drain off of them so there wouldn't be anything that would scratch up against your hull.
