Will The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs F2445 Be The Correct Choice For A 2019 Toyota Tundra

Question:
Hi, my name is Frank Porrett. I’m interested in the Firestone F2445 airbag system. I have a 2019 Toyota Tundra 2wd with a 5.7 V8. I’m pulling a Northtrail 21FBS camper that weighs around 4500 lbs. I’m also using a Blue Ox Sway Pro equalizer hitch system. Do you think the Firestone F2445 system is right for my rig? I’ve replaced my 3/4 ton ford excursion with this 1/2 ton Tundra for towing. Thanks!

Good question, Frank!
The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2445 will definitely be the correct fit for your 2019 Toyota Tundra 2wd with the 5.7 V8. Actually, even if you hadn't asked about these, they still would have been what I would have recommended. I am a Firestone fan as they are the best we carry, in my opinion, and have a great reputation. Plus they don't mess with your unloaded ride as much as other suspension enhancement options out there.
The Blue Ox SwayPro will also not interfere with this kind of set up at all, it will only offer more support. Just keep in mind that you will want to set up the weight distribution system first, and then fine tune with the air bags.
Out of curiosity, what happened to your Excursion? A Tundra with the 5.7 is reliable as the sunrise, but those 3/4 ton Excursions were absolute beasts (especially if it was the 7.3 diesel).

Thanks for information about Firestone airbags. I think I’ll order them. We still have the 2000 Excursion and it does have the 7.3. We’re ready for a change, had it a long time. Ordered it new in the fall 1999 before they were even on the dealer lots so we’ve had for 25 years. One thing nice about the Excursion, you didn’t have to worry about airbags!
