Hello Gary,
The "dry" mode on your Furrion A/C # FR65TD can definitely help when you’re dealing with humid conditions in your RV. It’s not quite the same as the regular cooling mode, it works a little differently.
When you turn on dry mode, the unit focuses more on pulling moisture out of the air rather than dropping the temperature dramatically. It runs the compressor at a lower speed and cycles the fan on and off, so it's a bit quieter and more energy-efficient. The cool part is, even if the temp doesn’t change a ton, the air feels cooler and more comfortable because it’s less muggy.
Dry mode is perfect for those sticky days when it’s not super hot but the humidity is making everything feel gross. It’s also a good option at night if you want things quieter and less damp inside. Plus, it can help cut down on moisture buildup that leads to mold or that funky RV smell.
That said, if it’s blazing hot and you’re really trying to bring the temp down fast, you’ll want to stick with cool mode. That’s your best bet when both heat and humidity are high.
