I Need Help Finding A Replacement Tarp for My Original Extang Trifecta Cover

Question:

Will this fit the frame of the original extang trifecta or only the 2.0 system. I’m not sure if the frame design changed with the 2.0. I have the leather style material on a 2004 short wheel base Dodge Ram 2500 regular bed. If it works out for me. Please provide the part number for the leather style replacement cover. A hail storm totally destroyed my almost 20 year old leather maternal Thanks

Hey, great question Shawn! We do have some options for you but the replacement cover part # EX92770-20 is made specifically for the Trifecta 2.0, so unfortunately, it won’t fit the original Trifecta frame. The frame design did change when they updated to the 2.0, so they’re not interchangeable.

It can be tricky to figure out exactly which cover you have without a bit more info—there have been lots of updates over the past 20 years. The original Extang Trifectas have a white label that includes the part number and serial number.

Here's where you can usually find the serial number:

Under the front panel (closest to the cab) – Lift the cover and look underneath the front rail or hinge area.

On the frame rails – Sometimes the label is stuck to the inside of one of the aluminum side rails.

Inside the tarp – Occasionally it’s stitched onto the underside of the tarp near a corner.

If you can provide me with a photo of that label or the numbers from the label, I am happy to help you find a replacement tarp! Also, Sorry to hear about the hail damage—20 years is an impressive run, though! Hope to hear from you soon.
