Question:
Hi I purchased the curt triflex for my 2006 Ford expedition xlt . The controller works sometimes Ill press the brake and it will display the power but once it gets up to 1.2 it throws and OL code then It will keep displaying ol until you let off then tap the brakes again and it might go back into auto or it might say OL again , its a very hit or miss issue. But when Im home In the drive way in park and pressing the brake pedal it will display .5 on auto and when I press the manual slide In park it works but again as soon as you start braking hard while driving it will throw the OL code again. This is the second controller Ive been sent becuase the first one was faulty. I dont believe this one is faulty ? But could it be ? Please help !

Hey Matt, thanks for reaching out!
The OL code on your Curt TriFlex NEXT Trailer Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness # C46SV means that you have an overloaded or short circuit somewhere, and that your trailer brake wire is grounded somewhere so you'll need to inspect all your wiring and fix it accordingly.
Let me know if you're able to get it working or not!

So are the trailer brakes not supposed to be grounded?
