Question:
C17501 GY72NR GY98ER Would I be correct in thinking all of these products would work together on a 2 1/2 hitch? Seems like the spacing for the weight distribution shank and the hitch of the WDH are both 1 1/4 on center. I dont want to buy the gen y torsion WDH because i wont need the WD setup everytime I tow with that hitch. Also, my hitch is pretty far inset due to a large offroad bumper. I need the maximum spacing out truck hitch to trailer hitch. trailer is a 10,400 gvwr car hauler. Lastly, the trailer has a 12v trailer plug powered jack. Its too tall and hits the tire mounted on my rear bumper. Any options for lo-pro, normal jack, or relocating? Are there any 2.5 extenders that dont lessen towing capacity? Thanks

Hey Colton! The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17501 will work with the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # GY72NR. This has 2" stacked receivers so you really wouldn't need the # GY98ER shank but it is also compatible with the TruTrack. The Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount is available with 2-1/2" stacked receivers like # GY79FR if that is what you would prefer based on your other towing needs and then you could swap out the WDH shank to fit.
How much space do you need to clear with the jack? I attached the dimensions of the Gen-Y ball mounts below for your reference. This will act as an extender. I wouldn't be able to say what other jack might work without knowing more about your setup and some measurements but I think the Gen-Y will solve the problem. I really wouldn't recommend an additional extender since you're already using quite a few parts in this setup. You don't want to create a different issue from a bunch of unwanted movement. All of the extenders will cut your capacity by 50%.

Hey Colton, did the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount give you the clearance you needed for your trailer jack and bumper? It’d be great to know if that setup solved the spacing issue. Your update could really help others working with similar offroad bumpers.
