Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our Gen-Y Torsion Ball Mount with two balls, a pintle latch, and a stacked set of receivers, 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch shank for the hitch, with a 7 1/2 rise or drop rated at 10,000 pounds. So folks, the adjustable ball mount here, again, is torsion-activated. I'll get to that here in a second. It slides into your 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch receiver tube. With the shank there, you got two pin hole options.
Those are 5/8 inch holes. You do need a pin and clip, sold separately, to attach this to the vehicle. I highly recommend a lockable one. You get both the 2 5/16 and the 2-inch and the pintle latch here to hold a lunette ring or pintle hitch style. You get five stacked 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch receiver tubes here.
So you can potentially take these out, if you need to, and put in other attachments that you may have that fit that size. Now, it's nice because it's adjustable, so you don't have to worry about, you know, different size trailers and stuff with your vehicle. You can raise or lower this as needed, and then invert it for the rise or drop as needed, to be able to tow that specific trailer. It does come with two pin and clips to hold the ball, and the lunette ring pintle hitch adapter thing there in place. I recommend getting the lockable one for them, as well.
Same thing, you know, protect your investment. It might be hard to see, but there's a grease circuit right up here. That's for the torsion part of this. And I went ahead and pulled and have here for demo a cutaway of what that torsion looks like. So I guess in this case it would be like this.
So you've got, torsion axles are basically the same, design here is what you see here. So there's four rubber cords around the center square piece of metal there, and they can twist and absorb the shock and the jars of the road whenever you're towing. So that's how that's working inside of there. There's no airbags to maintain, fewer moving parts, those kind of things. You don't have to worry about replacing some of those things like you would with the shock-absorbent hitch. Now, this was primed with a nice zinc primer and it's been epoxy powder coated on top. It's gonna be superior to resistant of corrosion. It's a hammered finish. It's a grayish black mixed color there. It might be kinda hard to see in the video, but in person, it's very, very nice-looking. Even the ball over here, everything, it's black powder coated with that epoxy powder coat. It has a light grip texture to it, and I mean very light. It doesn't, like, really grip your fingers, but it's enough to help you hold the ball if you we inchesre carrying it or something. So measurements, overall height from base to the top, 13 3/16 of an inch. From the very back of the shank just to the flat part up here without the balls in place, 15 1/2 inches. From the back of the shank to the front part up here, 19 11/16 inches. Once again, the hitch pin holes are 5/8 of an inch. The distance between these two holes is 1 1/2 inch on center. They're giving you five years of warranty on all the moving parts here in the torsion part and a limited lifetime warranty on all other parts. It is made here in the US, and it's SAE J684 certified. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at this Gen-Y Torsion Ball Mount. Again, 2 1/2 inch receiver hitch with a 10,000 pound rating. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
