Are there printed instructions on how to attach he head assembly to a shank. I want to make sure I put the hardware in its designed positions/locations. Thank you

There aren't printed instructions, but there is a diagram that I attached that shows how all the pieces install together.
For further setup info check out the installation instructions I attached for the Weight Distribution system part # PS49583 and the install video that details how to install and setup this system. The WD head part # PS58442 that you referenced is the head of assembly of the part # PS49583.
