Question:
I have a tandem axle camper and I need to replace the brake assembly. Dexter 3,500 axle and the number on the brake assembly is 023-026-00 for left side and -027 for the right side. I might replace the drum and bearings also. I can’t find a kit that has hub with bearings along with the brake assembly. And what brand bearings would come in the etrailer brand vs Dexter brand? Thank you

Hey Nathan, thanks for reaching out!
I can definitely help you get setup with replacement brakes and hubs, but we don't have an all-encompassing kit that includes everything.
For brakes we have the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-26-27 as exact replacements, or you can use the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA which upgrades you to self-adjusting brakes.
For the hub I recommend sticking with our assembly. The Dexter Axle brand might be marginally better as far as quality goes, so at that point you're paying more for the name than actual quality. For ours you need the part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K for a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, or part # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K for a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern.

Hey Nathan, how did things go with the replacement brakes and hubs for your tandem axle camper? Did you end up going with the Dexter brakes or the self-adjusting etrailer set? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on a similar setup.
