Question:
Hello - I am a salesperson at a Ford Dealership and recently sold a customer a 2024 e450 DRW box van and the factory integrated brake controller was not an option. The customer has other fords that have factory ones.. and he wants one that will perform the same as factory. My understanding is that Ford uses a proportional one? His complaint with other aftermarket contollers he has tried is that he wears through the brakes on his trailer much quicker while using them vs. factory. Do you have one available that performs as well that help with brake wear on trailers?

Hey Lesa, thanks for reaching out!
Since your customer is wanting a controller that has the same kind of performance as a Ford factory controller, he'll be happy with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. Tekonsha has made the factory controller for Ford for years now, and the OEM is essentially the P3 but compact size and with a few less features.
Does his 2024 Ford E-Series Cutaway have wiring for a trailer receptacle already? I'm not seeing that we have any custom options for that so some universal wiring kits like the ZCI # 119250KIT and # ETBC7 might need to be used to complete the installation.
If you all have any other questions (even if they're about other vehicles) please feel free to reach back out!

Hey Lesa, how did things go with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 for your customer’s E-Series Cutaway? Did it end up giving them the same braking feel as the factory controller? Your feedback could really help others looking for a similar setup.
