Review of Ultra-Fab ProduCTS Trailer Jack UF48-979002

Today we're going to review part #: UF48-979002, this is the Ultra-Fab ultra scissors jack with a 24 inch lift. This pair of scissor jacks will help raise and stabilize a fifth wheel trailer, travel trailer, horse trailer and cargo trailers. It has a heavy duty worm gear jacking mechanism which will prevent slippage, its perfect for stabilizing loads, the large foot plates on the bottom will provide excellent stability. The mounting pads on top can either be bolted on or welded on. The mounting hardware is not included. It does also include an easy crank handle and both jacks are made of a sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish to help resist corrosion.

This part will come with two jacks and the easy crank handle. Now I'm going to do a few dimensions on this, the mounting pads on top of the jack which will mount to the trailer will have a 3 1/2 inch width by 7 1/4 inch length, the foot pad on the bottom of the jack will measure 4 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches long. These jacks do have a weight capacity of 6500lbs per jack or a combined weight capacity of 13,000lbs and I have, this jack is in the fully collapsed, the retracted position, so with it fully retracted the measurement from your trailer to the foot plate would be 4 3/4 inches. Now this one I fully extended, so in the fully extended position if we measure from the trailer to the foot plate would be 24 inches, so that jack would give you a 24 inch lift. This part does come with a lifetime warranty and that should do it for part #: UF48-979002.

I spoke with my contact at Ultra-Fab and he said that 3/8 would be just fine.
