I need mounting brackets for a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500hd to fit a HDW grill guard. The grill guard I have is suppose to fit a 2014 to 2015 Silverado. I couldnt find any serial numbers on it to be sure. It fits right up to my truck and looks correct.

Hello Murray, thanks for reaching out. That appears to be a Westin HDX grille guard. The Replacement Hardware Kit for Westin HDX Grille Guards # 57-227PK is what will fit the 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
These HDX grille guards are not universal though. The mounting kit I mentioned will fit the Westin HDX Grille Guard # 57-2270 which is for the 2008-2013 Silverado 1500. If you have a different model of grille guard, there is no guarantee the # 57-227PK kit will work, or that it will fit your truck. In this event, the best option will be a new grille guard.
