Does this unit use an inverter controlled compressor? Does Furrion make a Chill Cube type unit with heat as well as cooling?

Hey Brad! The Furrion Chill Cube # FR99TD does have an inverter compressor which is what allows for the variable speed. Furrion plans to add a heat strip at a later date but there are no heat options for the unit at this time. The only current option for heat is if you have a separate furnace.
The Chill Cube can be used with a furnace on a ducted setup if you get the # FR69TD. This comes with a separate wall thermostat which can operate the furnace along with the AC unit. It still comes with the remote but the remote is only compatible with the AC unit for the time being.
If you don't have a furnace and have a ducted setup then the # FR99TD is the correct system. You can either wait for the heat strip to come out or supplement with a space heater if you decide you want to use the AC. I will say it is a really nice system and from our testing it is extremely quiet with an unbelievably low power draw. If you can live without the built in heat it is worth it.
