Question:
I have 2 of these axles with the 89 hf and 74 spring center. I now am in need of axles with a 76” spring center. Does the 89” hub face on these axles leave me enough room to weld on new spring seats at 76”

Hello Rob, thanks for getting in touch. There is not going to be enough room on the 89" hub face axle # e65SR to move the spring seats out to 76". That would have the spring seat literally right up against the backing plate and there would be no room for hardware, so this would not work. You can see in the picture below, the spring seats are about 2" wide, so moving that center any farther outboard will be way too tight.
You would have to go with a longer axle, and the next size up we offer is a 94" hub face like part # e93GR which has a 79" spring center. You would want to cut those spring seats off, and have new ones, part # TRSS300 welded on at 76". You would just want to check if the 94" hub face would work for your trailer. Are you making a custom trailer? Or repairing an old one?

Hey Rob, did the 94-inch axle with the new spring seats end up fitting your trailer the way you needed? Your update could make it easier for others working through a similar axle swap.
