Hey Aaron, thanks for reaching out. You asked a good question so I double checked with my contact at firestone. It is a little confusing with the 2011 models since there apparently there were some leftover 2011 models that were branded as 2012s.
To summarize, the Firestone # F2176 is going to be the correct fit for the true 2012 models. The big difference between this and the 2011 model would be the striker plate on the axle tube. I am not sure the 2011 model would have the correct striker plate the # F2715 kit would attach to, but it kind of depends when it was made. Take a look at the picture below and compare this to your axle, and that will tell you what kit you need.
If yours truly is the 2012 model, there is no 7500 kit for that, so the 5000 lb kit # F2176 will be the only option.
I hope this helps, and feel free to reply below if you need anything else.

Hey Aaron, did comparing your axle’s striker plate help you figure out which Firestone air bag kit fits your Sierra? Knowing which setup matched could really help others sorting out the 2011 and 2012 differences.
