Are The 7,500 Lb Air Bags Recommended for a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 with Constant Load

Question:

I have a 2015 Silverado 2500HD and I acquired a set of these airlift 5000 air bags. We will be in the market for a 5th wheel with a pin weight of 2,600lbs max. Ive read in some of the QandA posts, you have stated that these 5000 bags are not recommended for constant load, and the 7500xl version would be better suited? Is this true, or would these work for me? Also, the kit that I have did not come with the heat shield for the exhaust. Do you sell a replacement heat shield with hardware? Thanks!

If you find yourself constantly towing year-round then the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57538 is what I recommend for a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. I would also recommend these higher rated air bags for trailers with a heavier pin weight like yours.

If you have the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs you can use the Replacement Heat Shield part # AL34365.
