Orientation of Rear Hanger Installation on a Trailer with Double Eye Leaf Spring Suspension
Updated 07/06/2024 | Published 06/07/2014 >
Question:
I received the kit and was laying things out when I noticed that the rear hanger is not symmetrical. The bushing is off to one side and not centered in the fitting. There is a stamping on the part that says TOP. Which side of the hanger is forward? What am I missing? Thank you

Expert Reply:
The portion of the rear hanger with TOP labeled on it will get welded to the trailer frame.
I am including a picture of the hangar that shows the top marking and how it is positioned on the trailer.
I attached an FAQ on trailer suspension for you to check out also.

I have these hangers on my single 6000lbs axle. There are 3000lbs rated springs on each side. Are these hangers rated for that?
