What Comfort Ride Kit For Toy Hauler With Triple 8K Lippert Axles

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/30/2025

Question:

Looking to upgrade suspension in my 2022 Ambition. Its a 21k lb gross, triple axle toy hauler. Current suspension is 8kinch Lippert axles and DeeMaxx disk brakes. These are 8k springs, but on a 3inch axle tube. If I go with the Roadmaster system, Im wondering if I should go with the 7k kit, rather than the 8k kit. My RV has between 17k - 18k on the axles, depending on how were loaded. I think the 24k worth of springs contributes significantly to the amount of shock thats transfered into the RV. 21k / triple 7k axles seem like a better match to the actual weight on them. 7k/8k? Which would you recommend and why?

Hello again, Dan. Since your toy hauler has triply 8K axles I do have to recommend going with the 8K Comfort Ride Kit # RM-2460-2580-3. This comes with the 4K rated leaf springs and the leaf springs should always be rated the same as the axles.

Hey Dan, how did things go with the 8K Comfort Ride kit on your toy hauler? Did it help smooth out the ride and reduce the shock you were feeling before? Your results could really help others deciding between the 7K and 8K setups.
