Replacement Lionshead Bearcat 15" x 6" - 5 on 4.5 Trailer Wheel Needed

Question:

I am looking for a LionsHead wheel. A Bearcat in black 15x6 5-4.5 bolt The lionsHead part is SUBE-150-600-6BMF. LionsHead said to purchase with you, but you told me to get it from the dealer we got the camper from, the dealer said Forest River told them to get it direct from LionsHead to sell to us,but LionsHead wont sell to dealer they will only sell to manufacturers or you. Can you help me get a wheel.

Hi Roger,

Sorry for the big runaround but the SUBE-150-600-6BMF was listed as discontinued by Lionshead back in Feb 2021. You're not the only person I've talked to that's run into this same issue unfortunately. Lionshead keeps discontinuing specific models of their wheels and then coming out with slightly different ones, leaving the RV'ers with these wheels in a tough position.

I do know they have a online site with discontinued wheels that you can purchase from directly so I would check if they moved this specific model over to that site instead or if they fully discontinued it. I can't remember what the site was labeled as but I'd give Lionshead a call and see if they can tell you of any other dealers that might still have this in stock and what that website was. Lionshead has been extremely difficult to get in contact with in the past for me so they might take you a bit more seriously since you're the actual customer.

If you can't get the wheel and end up having to replace it with something else let me know and we can discuss what preferences you have and find something that works.

Hey Roger, were you able to track down that Bearcat wheel through LionsHead’s discontinued site or another dealer? Knowing what you found could help others stuck in the same situation with discontinued wheels.

@KateF I was able to get a replacement wheel at LionsHead Direct. I contacted Lorena Daugherty at [email protected] and she checked the warehouse and found two wheels. She added them to lionsHead direct website and sent me a link straight to them so I could order them. They went way out of their way to help me.

@RogerJ I am glad that you were able to go straight to the source to get what you needed. Once they tell us they are discontinued it is hard for us to be able to pull strings like that, it makes me so happy when I hear about our manufacturers going above and beyond. I definitely keep those things in mind when suggesting parts. I want people to get good quality parts, but I also want to make sure the company will take care of any issues. I appreciate you taking the time to share you experience with me.
