Question:
I am interested in purchasing a Tucson direct link brake controller. On your website there are 5 of them and I’m going to be installing them on a 2020 Peterbilt 579 to control my fifth wheel trailer. Which of those would be optimum for me to purchase? Thank you!

Hi Arlin,
The reason you're seeing multiple versions is just because some are packaged with a custom-fit wire harness for easier installation. Since there isn't a plug-and-play wire harness for your Peterbuilt you'll just want the universal splice-in wire harness, which would be part # 335DL-100.
The black wire will need to be ran to the battery with a 30 amp circuit breaker # PK54530 so you'll need more 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1, some ring terminals # 44-5356A, and butt connectors # DW05745-10.
The blue wire will need to be ran back to the 7-way so more 10 gauge wire and butt connectors.
The white wire will need to be grounded to the frame with a ring terminal. There's typically a frame ground screw that's painted green on the left side under the dash on the driver's side that you can run the ring terminal to.
The red wire will need to be tapped into the cold side of the brake light switch so you'll need to either test the wires coming from the brake pedal to see which one only has power when the brake pedal is being depressed or use a stop light switch kit # RM-751000 to simulate this signal for the red wire.

Hey Arlin, how did the wiring go with the DirecLink brake controller on your Peterbilt? Were you able to get everything connected using the universal harness and stop light switch kit? Your update could make it easier for others setting up the same controller.
