Question:

Do you sell a 12000lb winch thar is going to 2x2 reciever on my 2005 f250 superduty.entire kit example maybe the winch ,12gauge wire, all the flat fitting connectors so I can put leads off truck battery and off winch. Then a remote that can be converted to remote by adding batterys? I know Im never wired one to the rear. And gauge equals resistance. What will be the duty cycle ? If it applies Thanks, Steven Fernandez

Hi Steven,

To start you'll need a mount for the winch that's rated for 12k like the Bulldog # BDW20011 and then you can use a 12k winch like the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW10039. This comes with a wireless remote that uses batteries or can be plugged in to operate the winch. You wouldn't be able to run the winch off of just 12 gauge wire, you would need 2 gauge wire and Andersen connectors like the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit # BDW20206 has.

I've attached a short video below where Joe will walk you through the installation of these cables on 2004 model so you can see what you'll need to do for your winch. The Andersen connectors will make connecting/disconnecting power to the winch fast and simple. The # BDW10039 has a 2 minutes on/15 minutes off duty cycle.

If you have any other questions just let me know and I'd be happy to help.

Hey Steven, how did the Bulldog winch and wiring kit work out on your F-250? The quick-connect setup sounded like it would make things a lot easier when powering the winch. Your update could help others planning a similar rear wiring setup.

@JamesonCits working great Happy I kinda oversized it It appears I won't be worrying if my winch is powerful enough The only question is their autoreset fuse in the winch or do I need a inline.type. up til now I havent had any type of load on it to the point of straining. So up till now the winch hasn't even stained to the point of blowing any type of fuseable
