Connecting Battery Charger to Two Parallel Batteries
Updated 02/25/2019 | Published 02/23/2019 >
Question:
I have a 10k electric boat winch that I want to connect directly to the trucks batteries so it will automatically stay charged. Being a duel battery system, do I just wire it as a single battery system? Does it matter which battery I connect to? The truck is a 2005 F350 diesel duel battery system 12V system. What would you suggest. The winch is a Fulton 10k electric winch. 3000# boat. Thanks

Connecting a charger to two batteries in parallel really will be the same as wiring them in parallel. You'd put one terminal on one battery and the other on the other battery.
