Installed Wiring Harnes And Now Blind Spot Alert Does Not Work - What Can I Check?

Question:
I putchased a trailer wiring loom from you for a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, installed it, and now I have a problem. The loom functions perfectly but after installing it, the blind spot alert lights dont work. I just wondered if youve encountered that issue? Thank you

Hey David, thanks for reaching out. This is not a common issue with T-Connectors like the Curt # C27BR you ordered from us earlier this year, although I have heard of this happening before. The wiring harness installs completely separate of any blind spot sensors, so usually when stuff like this happens it is because somehow the sensor was disconnected during your wiring install. I suggest you double check all of your connections and make sure they are good and tight. Look for any wiring/ connectors that may have been moved or disconnected and specifically check the wiring for the backup sensor. You may find something is disconnected which would explain the issue. I have heard of some vehicles requiring you to change your settings after installing a wiring harness, but as far as I know Ford are the only vehicles that require this and it shouldn't be an issue for Jeep. It might not hurt to check your settings anyway just to see.
