Can A 50 Amp Surge Protector Be Used On 30 Amp Service?

Question:
Can the HU92VR 50 amp surge protector be used on a 30 amp service with no issues. I currently have a 30 amp service on my motorhome but we are contemplating upgrading in the future and dont want to purchase another surge protector if we dont need to.

Hello Wayne. Yes, a 50 amp surge protector like the Portable Power Watchdog Surge Protector with Bluetooth and WiFi - 50 Amp # HU92VR can be used with a 30 amp RV without issue. It will still do what it needs to do, then if you ever do upgrade to 50 amp you will not need to buy a new surge protector.
