Recommended Base Rails For A 2024 Ford F-350 With An RBW Lil Rocker 5th Wheel Hitch

I have an older RBW Lil Rocker installed in our 2006 Ford F350 LWB. Im looking to replace the truck with a 2024 Ford F350 LWB. My current hitch has above bed rails. I dont think the new truck will have the prep package, so are there custom frame mounts that I can use?

Hey Doug,
For the 2024 Ford F-350 bed you would need the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford # C39VV. This would be both the under bed mounting brackets and above bed base rails as well as all necessary hardware. This base rail kit fits industry standard spacing requirements so it would be compatible with your RBW Lil Rocker 5th wheel hitch as well.
I recommend dropping the hitch into the front base rail to help set the cab-side base rail. I would also leave the base rail bolts a little loose until you have the hitch in place. Having the hitch in first and then tightening them down ensures the hitch isn't going to fight the rails every time you need to install or remove it.
