Underbody Panels Not Fitting After Installing Draw-Tite Hitch on 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid
Updated 11/25/2024 | Published 11/24/2024 >
Question:
I installed the trailer hitch on my Hyundai hybrid. How do you reinstall the panels on the bottom of the car after the hitches installed. The hitch seems to be in the way of putting these panels back on, how do I reattach them.

Hi Bill; assuming you followed all of the installation steps for the # DT26PR the underbody panels will fit back on your vehicle. Sometimes it takes a little finagling to get things lined back up and in place after installing the hitch so I would play around with them a bit until you can get them back into place. It is difficult to offer more direction beyond that without actually being at the vehicle to see what is going on.

The directions say to cut the panels because I have an Elantra hybrid. I didn't want to cut them until I found out for sure whether or not you really have to but just holding them up they won't go on because the trailer is bar is in the way.
