Does Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire & Wheel Need to be Balanced Before Install

I am preparing to purchase new tires. Should the 205/75/15 load range D tire for my Featherlite 9409 horse trailer be balanced before installing?

Hi Melissa,
No, it isn't necessary to balance the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel # LHAW121 before installing it on your horse trailer. That said, you can if you like, with the easiest way being balancing beads, the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads for Tandem Axle Trailers # CA83VR.
This is more of a personal preference thing, as even with trailer tires not perfectly balanced, trailer suspension is going to be quite bouncy/rigid anyhow that balanced tires won't make much of a difference.
