Features to know about

Smooth Ride Over Rough Roads: 4-Leaf Double-Eye Design Cushions Every Bump

Rough pavement and washboard roads can make a trailer bounce and shake. This 4-leaf double-eye spring flexes to absorb that motion so your trailer rides smoother and steadier. Each of the four 1/4""-thick steel leaves works together to resist shock while keeping the load level over uneven surfaces. With a spring capacity of 1,000 lbs and an axle capacity of 2,000 lbs, it’s a solid match for light to medium-duty setups that need reliable ride control.

Durable Mounting for Long-Term Use: 26"" Eye-to-Eye Steel Spring with 9/16"" Bushings

Weak points in the suspension start with poor connections. This spring measures 26"" from eye to eye and bolts up using 9/16""-diameter nylon bushings, giving you a snug, quiet fit between the hangers and shackle straps. The steel construction handles the constant flexing and load changes that come with long miles, keeping the trailer tracking straight and stable.

Less Wear and Tear on Your Gear: Nylon Bushings Keep Movement Quiet

Metal-on-metal noise and vibration can wear bushings fast. The included nylon bushings cut friction and squeaks so the suspension cycles smoothly. That helps protect your hangers, shackles, and equalizer hardware from premature wear while keeping the ride noise down.

Easy Refresh for a Sagging Suspension: Direct Replacement for Worn-Out Parts

Old leaf springs can flatten or stretch over time, leaving one side of the trailer sitting lower. Swapping in this new spring restores the proper height and balance so the trailer sits level again. It attaches to standard hangers and shackle straps (sold separately), making it a straightforward fix for anyone replacing tired factory parts.

Video Transcript for Review of EMCO Trailer Leaf Springs - 4 Leaf Double Eye Spring 2000 lbs Trailer Axle - EM26AJ

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this 4 Leaf Double Eye Spring for your 2000 pound trailer axle. Now this double eye leaf spring acts as part of your trailer suspension system by giving you an attachment point for a 2000 pound axle. It is made of sturdy steel and is designed to flex to absorb road shock and give you a smooth ride. It's gonna help reduce wear and tear on your trailer. This is going to ensure a level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces.

Now, double eye leaf springs attached to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. One end of the spring will attach directly to the hangar with the suspension bolt, and the other end will attach to shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger. And those straps are going to allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. Now if you have a tandem or a triple axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to the equalizer that connects multiple springs. If you are in need of hangers, suspension bolts, or equalizers, you can find all of that here at etrailer.com.

In the eyes on each end here are pre-installed nylon bushings. The eye diameter with the bushing is 9/16", without the bushing, it's 11/16". So again, this is a four leaf spring with a leaf thickness of a quarter of an inch, and it has a spring capacity by itself of 1000 pounds. So when you combine it with another spring, that's where you're gonna get your 2000 pound capacity for that trailer axle. The length from center to spring to center of eye, is gonna be right at 26 inches.

The spring width is 1-3/4". Now additional dimensions with the diagram are available on this product page if there's some other measurements that you're looking for. And of course, to ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf spring should always be replaced in pairs. If you do decide to pick this and maybe more than just this one up, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with getting this installed and using it on your trailer. And you can share your experiences with us by either leaving our comment on this product page or write a review on this product page.

And with the review, you can also share your photos as well, showing us this in action on your trailer. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

Bought (4) 7K leaf springs and 3 fit like a glove, however the 4th was slightly twisted and needed the help of ratchet straps to make the fit. I haven't driven it yet. Would have given a five star except for the one. Service deserved a 10 star rating.

Received Exactly what I ordered, Super Fast Shipping. Great Prices Thank You

by:

Perfect fit. Take your time during installation, measure correctly and everything will fall into place.

by:

I used these as an upgrade to my stock sagging springs. Going from 1750lb to these 2000lb springs lifted the trailer roughly 1 inch which was perfect as I'm often offroad

by:

Great customer service quick shipping t ime.

by:

3 springs that are correct are fine. The 4 spring is the wrong spring, sent a 4 leaf instead of a 7 leaf, still waiting on the correct replacement.

by:

Would be five stars if they came with bronze bushings

by:

Shipping was pretty fast. Springs look good. Putting them on the trailer later today. Thank you!

by:

Nice price. Quick delivery. Product was a perfect fit. I’m very happy and will return for my trailer parts.

by:

Haven't installed as of yet but the customer service was excellent Fast shipping and good company follow up. Carter put all my questions and research at ease
I had called other suppliers, not answering phone or had no clue / answers to my questions

by:

Haven’t had a chance to install them yet, I do believe they will work good. Replacing flattened old #3500 leafs with these for a single axel travel trailer.

by:

The paint/coating on the springs looks awful, hopefully the metallurgy is better. Also, the leafs are shorter than the OEM Dexter spring that it replaces.

by:

The leaf spring showed up onto the campground a day earlier than expected! Great job getting us our part so we could enjoy our vacation!

by:

Huge difference from 4 leaf to 5 leaf on my tandem 5200lb axles

by:

These were the perfect replacement for the springs on my 10 year old Keystone Fuzion 414. They arrived in perfect condition and I was able to do the install myself. It took the entire day because I had never done it before but in the end, I'me very happy witht he outcome.

by:

New springs eliminated the annoying trailer squeaking noise. Very Pleased five star rating

by:

Perfect replacement for my stock Dexter Springs.
Also installed the Dexter EZ Flex Equilizer with Wet Bolt Kit.

Broken leaf spring): Ordered the leaf spring late Friday afternoon California time zone. (We travel full time). Most impressed, order was processed Friday night by E-Trailer, with two day delivery. Of coarse it was the weekend, part was picked up Monday morning in Missouri and I had it in my hands by 11:30am Tuesday. I could track the order easily with the link E-trailer provided. We were near Redcrest California, which is not a big town at all, about 50 miles south of Eureka CA.(no parts of this kind in the area). And the best part of all--the part fit perfectly! E-trailers website is very user friendly for getting the right part, the first time!!

by:

The brass bushings should not have to be pounded in and then the bolt through the bushings because the bushings oblong them selves because the springs are not straight.

Hey Darryl, happy to help! I went ahead and took a couple measurements for you since that “eyelet to top” distance can be interpreted a couple different ways. If you follow the curve of the spring (shown in red), the measurement from the center of the eye to the top of the spring is about 14". If you measure straight up from the center of the eye to the top of the spring (shown in blue), it’s about 13". I’ve attached a picture to show exactly where those measurements were taken so you...
