Hey John! You would easily be able to install two standard size 12"-13" long x 6"-7" wide batteries like item # 34276285. This 12v 100 amp hour battery measures 12" long x 8-3/16" tall x 6-5/8" wide. A pair of these batteries could be lined up along the backside of the etrailer Trailer Tool Box item # e44VV leaving you quite a bit of available space for chains, blocks, and additional gear. You also have the option of using two larger batteries if you install them front to back instead of side by side along the back of the box. You could use two that measure up to 18" long and 9" wide each.
The etrailer Trailer Tongue Tool Box item # e44VV has a 6 cu ft capacity with internal measurements of 20-3/4" tall x 18-1/2" deep x 33-1/2" wide on the back side x 19-1/4" wide on the front side.
I have linked a diagram below so you can see the dimensions of this tool box.

Hey John, how did your setup go with the two batteries in the etrailer tool box? Did you end up going with the side-by-side layout or the front-to-back fit? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar setup.
