Will a generator fit in this box?

Maybe depending on what size your generator is but I can tell you it's not going to be a large one that fits. The etrailer Trailer Tool Box item # e44VV has internal dimensions of 20-3/4" tall x 18-1/2" deep with a backside width of 33-1/2" that narrows down pretty quickly, due to the trapezoid shape, to 19-1/4" wide in the front.
I have attached a diagram of this box below that will show you the dimensions.
