Comparing The etrailer # e98902 and Curt # C13315 Trailer Hitches For A 2022 Mazda CX5

I’m trying to decide between the Curt and E Trailer hitch for my 2022 Mazda CX5. Which one would recommend and which would give me more ground clearance?

Hey Mike,
The etrailer # e98902 and Curt # C13315 are actually the same exact trailer hitch with the only difference being the powder-coating. The # e98902 has a matte black finish, while the # C13315 has a gloss black finish. Both should give you about 13" of clearance from the ground to the top inside edge of the trailer hitch receiver tube.
Personally, I prefer the matte black finish because it tends to blend in better with the rear fascia and doesn't show scratches and dings nearly as much as a gloss finish will. The second you scratch the gloss finish you'll always notice it and that can be annoying.
