Replacement Disc Brake Components For A 12k AL-KO Trailer Axle

Question:

Hi, Im looking for the correct parts for a brake job on a trailer with AL-KO 12k axels. Will the following eTrailer parts work for this job: 1 AL-KO/Hayes Disc Brake Caliper -10,000 lbs and 12,000 lbs - Drivers-Side Part Number: BP18-050 This caliper visually matches the caliper on my trailer. 2 Kodiak Ceramic Brake Pads - 8,000 lbs to 14,000 lbs Part Number: K2250CP These pads visually match the caliper on my trailer. 3 Caliper Rebuild Kit for AL-KO/Hayes Disc Brakes - 10,000 lbs and 12,000 lbs Part Number: BP18-080 4 Disc Brake Caliper Piston for Dexter 10K and 12K Hydraulic Disc Brakes Part Number: BP18-065 Im unsure if this part will match, and need your input. Hey Rocco,

In order to get the correct replacement parts for your disc brake assemblies we'll first need to identify what brand/model you have. Manufacturers like to make their parts just slightly different so that they won't work with other brands and once you get into the 8k capacity range things start to get extremely specific. You might have AL-KO axles but some other brand for the disc brake assembly so you'll want to check your current calipers for the number stamped into the back of them so we can figure out what you have.
