Question:
Whats the difference between 4.80 -8 and 20.5 8 -10? Will switching 2 tires mak red a difference
asked by: Noah
Expert Reply:
The biggest difference between the trailer tire sizes 4.80-8 and 20.5 8-10 is that they are for different diameter wheels. You would not be able to swap between those two sizes without also swapping rims.
The 20.5 8-10 has a much higher weight capacity, is much taller (little over 4 inches) and is much wider (also 4 inches). If you are thinking about going to this size you will need to make sure you have enough clearance.
If you have a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern you would want the # AM3H370 for a wheel and tire, if you have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern you would want the # AM3H390.
