Hi Byron,
There are a number of options you have to add base plates to flat tow your 2005 Ford F-350, and those are the following:
- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2177
- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 4403-1
- Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9517109
These are all quite similar, but I like the Blue Ox due to its reliability and the fact they have excellent tow bars rated for to tow your big truck. So that's what I'd go with, and then for a compatible tow bar that has a 10,000 lb capacity and also comes with the safety chains needed (so you don't have to purchase them separately), go with the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420.
Along with the base plates and tow bar, you'll also need wiring and supplemental braking system; for the wiring use Diode Kit # RM-15267, and for the braking system you'll get the smoothest braking with the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251.
And finally, to keep your truck's battery charged while it's being towed, use the Demco Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Line Kit # DM66VR.

Hey Byron, how did your flat tow setup for the F-350 turn out with the Blue Ox gear and the Stay-IN-Play Duo braking system? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a heavy-duty truck like yours.
