How to Change Underslung Axle to an Overslung Axle
Question:
Our Montans High Country 5th wheel came from manufacture with overslung axles but the options on your web pages are all underslung. Do you sell an overslung option? Ours is overslung 89/71.5, 6-lug, 6000lb tandem axle.

Hey Roland, thanks for reaching out!
Overslung axles are a special order situation and we unfortunately only have standard axles here at etrailer.
With that being said, you can order a standard axle that meets your specs and then use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 which changes an underslung axle to an overslung axle.

Didn’t want to go with Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00, instead custom ordered axles via company in Texas. Wanted to keep with our original setup. We did order all the suspension items from etrailer. Upgraded to Morryde parts for additional stabilization, wet bolts and corrosion resistive springs. With all this and upgrade to rated G tires we should finally solve all our undercarriage problems. After taking unit to three different RV repair centers (Washington State twice then Wisconsin), paying a tremendous amount of money to no avail (still blowing tires and Each incident causing tremendous RV damage), just decided to do it all ourselves!
