Hey I am sorry to hear that David. A damaged weld nut really sucks but it does happen on rare occasion. You could try using a thread tap to repair the threading on the nut, but in all likelihood, the weld nut is toast. In this case you will have to drill out the weld nut and fish wire new hardwire into the frame from a different opening and then out through the hitch's mounting hole.
