I have an older Denver Outfitter 4 vault . The lock completely fell out. Will the Thule one work even though I do not see anyplace for a screw

Hi Janice; the Replacement Locking Lever Latch and Keys for Thule RodVault # TH85ME will fit your Denver Outfitter 4 Vault. The screw is part of the lever and doesn't attach to anything else. If you look up old pictures of the Denver Outfitter you can see that piece with the screw sticking out is on the lever latch.

Hey Janice, how did the new locking lever latch work out on your Denver Outfitter 4 Vault? It’d be great to know if it fit securely with the built-in screw design. Your update could make it easier for others with the same vault.

Hey John, I've had a similar question to this before and what I was able to find is that what you'll have to do is replace the entire locking assembly with the part #TH85ME that you referenced as there isn't a key replacement available.

As you have the older Rod Vault from Denver Outfitters you will need the Replacement Latch and Keys #TH85ME. This is needed as the key alone will not work as a replacement for the Original Rod Vaults before they were acquired by Thule.

Hey David, the Replacement Locking Lever Latch part #TH85ME that you referenced does fit your older model RodVault from before it was a Thule brand rack. It's only option to get replacement keys unfortunately which I know is super frustating.
