Question:
Replacing tires on a tandem Stealth 20’ car hauler. It came with Rainier ST 205/75R15’s load C speed M. Rims are aluminum 15” x 5”. Lots of long highway use and these did not last. Looking for replacements to add ground clearance already installed Torflex Lift Kit, and have room for a diameter increase of 3” from existing. The Karrier ST 225/75R15 load E speed M says it fits 5” rims and should give me about an inch more off the ground. Is that the one you would recommend? I did not see a 235 that would fit my rims. Are there other tires I should consider?

Hello James. The Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # AM10303 you mentioned cannot be used with a 15" x 5" rim. This tire will only work with 15" x 6", 15" x 6-1/2" and 15" x 7" wheels. So in order to use this time you will need to get a larger rim like the Aluminum Sendel Mod Trailer Wheel # AM22627 which is a 15" x 6" rim and a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. Keep in mind that these tires are about 9" wide, and you will want to be sure there is at least 1" between the inside of the tire and the frame of the trailer. We also want 3" between the tire and the fender, but it sounds like you have a bit of room to go larger.

Specs for Karrier with Part Number: KE63KV show they’ll fit 5”. I’d really like to avoid buying new rims if possible
