Are Push Pads and Control Knobs Replaceable for the Blue Ox Patriot BRK2012

Blue Ox BRK2012 - Do you carry the following parts: - Black plastic push pad - Knobs for the gain controls Thanks.

Hey Andy, thanks for reaching out!

The Blue Ox Patriot BRK2012 is an older system so unfortunately it doesn't have replacement push pads and knobs. You might be able to find someone selling their Patriot and you can piece it out, but if your kit is already falling apart then you might consider swapping it out for a newer system like the upgraded Patriot # BLU37TR or the Brake Buddy Select 3 # HM39524.

I personally like the Select 3 better, but it does require a little different wiring while the Patriot plugs in using a 12V accessory outlet like you'll already have available so it will literally be a plug and play install.

Hey Andy, did you end up going with the newer Patriot or the Brake Buddy Select 3 for your setup? Your experience could point others toward the best option when older parts aren’t available.

I have used earlier variations of the Blue Ox Patriot system successfully over the years and I prefer to fix/maintain functional things than throw them out. I was able to get new push pads from Blue Ox for the BRK2012. The knob was pretty standard so I got it and a new backup battery from another site. The repairs were simple. The result was a fully functioning unit without the complexity and cost of some of the new offerings in the marketplace. Sorry, but have no experience with the Brake Buddy Select 3.

@AndyE Hey no worries at all! I prefer to keep older things running as well as I think they were typically built better back in the day (especially with how complicated things have become nowadays).
