Question:
Hello, it looks like you can sell me what I need. Ive got a 2005 Honda Pilot that already has the 4 pin trailer connection at the tow hitch. Im buying a used Argosy Trailer that needs a 7 pin connection. I know that trailer is the smallest version and weighs just over 2,000 pounds. I would like the easiest installation unit for that 7 pin connection. What do you recommend?

Hi Chris; the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L you looked at will have the easiest installation. This comes with everything you need to upgrade your 4-way to a 7-way. The kit is designed for a brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180 which doesn't require running the additional brake output wire. It also works if you don't have brakes on the trailer. If you do have brakes and want to install an in cab brake controller like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR you need the # ETBC7 which includes the brake output wire.

Can I connect the Argosy to just the # ETBC7L, or do I need the C51180 to make it work?
