BWGNRK1309 What Is Distance From Ball To Back Of The Bed?

Question:

I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Crew Cab with a 6.4 bed. If I were to install a BandW turnover ball, do you have specs that could tell me the distance from the installed ball to the back or the front of the bed. I have a light weight gooseneck camper I want to pull with it but am worried about turning radius. Thanks.

Hello Al, according to the B&W instruction manual for the # BWGNRK1309 gooseneck for the 2018 Ram 1500, there is going to be 40-1/8" from the center of the ball hole to the rear edge of the truck bed. You will find the manufacturer instructions linked below.

Hey Al, were you able to confirm if that 40-1/8 inch measurement worked for your turning clearance with the gooseneck camper? Knowing how it turned out could help others setting up a similar Ram truck.

@JesseM I was able to confirm that it would not work, so I did not purchase it. While it might work with other campers, mine actually extended out in front of the gooseneck enough to give me very little turning radius on that truck. I had to fabricate my own set up to make it all work with that camper.
