Hello Bruce, thanks for reaching out. The Dometic Penguin II High Capacity RV Air Conditioner # DMC29ZR does not include a heat strip and there is not a separate heat strip that can be added. We do offer this same AC unit with a heat pump, and that will be the following:
- Dometic Penguin II High Capacity RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Multi Zone - 15,000 Btu - Black # DMC58ZR

Hey Bruce, did you end up going with the Penguin II model that includes the heat pump instead of the heat strip? Knowing how that setup worked for you could help others comparing these two versions.
