Determining If Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension K71-360-00 WIll Fit 2008 Heartland Cyclone Toy Hauler

Question:

Will this kit fit a 2008 heartland cyclone 5th wheel triple axle toy hauler? It has lippert 5200# spring over axles under it from the factory. I forgot to measure the axle spacing before I placed it on cribbing, with the suspension hanging and the shackles flipped down when the suspension ped after taking the tires off the measurement from the hub between the front and center axle is 33” and from center to rear axle is 35”. It has 1 3/4 wide leafs and center to center on spring eyes are roughly 25 5/8. Is the distance between center and rear axle different because of the way the suspension hangs when it’s not loaded and all the shackles flopped down when I pulled the wheels and tires off? Could you also send me the dimensions of the equalizers? Thanks

It is very possible that the Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Kit # K71-360-00 you were looking at will fit your 2008 Heartland RV Cyclone 5th Wheel Triple Axle Toy Hauler, but to confirm this you will want to measure the length of your existing equalizers and shackle straps.

This kit includes one equalizer that measures 5-3/4" between the two horizontal mounting holes on center, and another that measures 7" as shown in the included diagram. The included shackle straps measure 2-1/4" between the two mounting holes on center as shown in the included diagram.

Since you mentioned you have 33" spacing between the front and center axles this kit is more than likely correct. This kit is designed for 1-3/4" wide leaf springs like you mentioned.

It is possible that with the suspension hanging and the shackles flipped is what is causing the center to rear axle spacing to show as 35". It is not normal for the axle spacing to be that far off between the axles.
