Replacement Battery For Hopkins Engager Breakaway Kit

Question:
on My Hopkins Engager HD, when I pull the break away pin the brakes wont engage. truck power cable connected, pulled break away pin- brakes wont engage. brakes will engage with power cable connected and applied manual control in cab. internal battery connection broken off. should I replace battery or entire system

Hi Keith; you could replace the battery with the # HM20008 but I would go ahead and replace the entire thing with # 20099. If you replace the whole kit you're getting the battery and a usable battery connection plus you don't have to worry about other parts wearing out (especially since one already did) which would end up costing you more in the long run.
