Hi Gary; since Demco doesn't make a base plate kit for the 2016 Smart fortwo you can use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-52300-5. You will also need the Demco Tow Bar Adapter Brackets for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # DM9523032 to make the two compatible.
