Replacement Leaf Springs For a Mastercraft Tandem Axle Boat Trailer With 25-1/2" Long Leaf Springs

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/02/2024

Question:

Hello, I am looking to replace the springs on my 24 year old Mastercraft trailer. It is a tandem axle trailer and without any gear or fuel the boat and trailer weight 4100 pounds. The springs are 4 leafs if you count the shorty one at the bottom of the pack. still hung from the trailer they measure about 25 1/2 from eye to eye and about 27 if I follw the curve of the spring. I also have an equalizer that I have had a hard time servicing in the past the has 9/16 ends and a large bolt in the middle. Thanks!

Expert Reply:

Based on the measurements of your current leaf springs and the weight of the trailer the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,500-lb Trailer Axles # e66SR is going to be the best option we have. These springs would allow for around 900lbs of additional weight on your boat. If you are wanting a heavier spring the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # e54SR would be the next size up we carry.

Hey, how did the new leaf springs work out on your Mastercraft trailer? Did the 3-leaf or 4-leaf option end up giving you the ride and support you needed? Your update could make it easier for others replacing older trailer springs.
