Question:

Hello recently, I was pulled over and the policeman told me my bicycles were blocking my license plate which are on the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 rack I have. He told me I need to see if there’s some type of external license plate holder that I can attach to my bike rack. I contacted Kuat, but they said they do not sell one for that particular rack to you may have a solution. Would you recommend some thing if you have it, I would appreciate it, Deanna

Hello Deanna. I recommend that you use the Yakima PlateMate License Plate Holder for Bike Racks # Y02713. This is a universal license plate holder that attaches to your bike rack using hook-and-loop straps. This can be attached to the bike rack, or to the bike itself. You have some flexibility of where you want to mount it. Just make sure it is nice and visible to avoid any future traffic stops :)
