Question:
I have a utility trailer with 13inch wheels and 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and 2000 lb axle.. The hubs are Dexter 8-259 and I want to replace them. It seems that either 8-258-50BTUC1 or 8-258-5UC1-EZ would be best for my needs. If I go with the first one which is galvanized, what Bearing Buddy model should I use? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
For the Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly, part # 8-258-50BTUC1, the Bearing Buddy you would need is part # BB1980A-SS. This fits a hub bore of 1.980 inches. The Bearing Buddy system will keep water and dirt out of hubs and bearings while allowing the boat trailer wheels to be completely submerged.
